NAME: Quinn AGE: 26 moons GENDER: She-cat CLAN: None, Loner RANK: N/A
DESCRIPTION: A pretty Snowshoe she-cat, Quinn has a gentle appearance. She has large, powdery blue eyes, carrying the wisdom of her experiences. Her muzzle, underbelly, and paws are all a solid white that are bordered by bands of dark, almost black, brown on the face and front paws. Everywhere else, the white fades to a creamy brown that covers most of her thick-furred, medium-length pelt. The brown darkens as it reaches her back.
Her tail and ears are a similar shade of dark brown as the band on her face. Tabby stripes are visible in her tail. Around her neck is a kittypet collar that once matched the hue of her eyes but had long since been dirtied and faded by many moons in the wilderness. At the front of the collar are attached a number of Twoleg metallic tags that gently tinkle when they occasionally hit each other. Quinn collects a pawful of bird wing feathers she finds appealing—the favorites of which she adorns to her collar, sticking them in the back behind her ears. Currently she has four; a large raven’s feather, two blue jays’ feathers, and a cardinal’s feather.
PERSONALITY: Elusive and cunning, Quinn has spent much of her life on her own. She is inherently mistrustful and cautious of any unfamiliar cat. The she-cat is very bright, using wits to escape tough situations or to get what she wants. She can be overly flirtatious, teasing, or coy, or, if the situation calls for it, can become malicious and volatile.
Overall, though, Quinn is mostly even-tempered. She is highly sarcastic the majority of the time, preferring to dance around something than confront it directly. There is little the Snowshoe cat fears…except for heights.
HISTORY: Quinn was born in TwolegPlace to a human family. She was taken away from her mother and siblings before she was old enough to really remember them. She lived as a kittypet for her kithood, becoming comfortable with Twolegs, their strange tendencies, and their silly pet dogs. The Twolegs gave her a blue collar that matched her powdery blue eyes, attached with tinkling, gold things that other Twolegs used to identify her.
When her Twoleg family gave birth to a child with a number of health complications, Quinn was given to an elderly woman that lived in a highly populated area of TwolegPlace. Quinn was permitted full access to the outdoors, instead of just the little garden and surrounding yards she was limited to. She became familiar with the urbanized area and all the bad that came with it. When her owner died, leaving her with no home to find, Quinn was prepared.
She had to fight for every pawhold in the cutthroat city. The she-cat had to watch many of the friends that she considered as close as family die from sickness, starvation, TwoLeg machines, or the Twolegs themselves. Quinn got into the habit of collecting birds' feathers for each of her fallen loved ones, which she stuck into her collar as a consistent reminder of the lives lost. It wore on her and she grew tired of the rotting, stinking TwolegPlace. Quinn escaped to the forests, fields, swamps, and foothills by the mountains. For moons, Quinn lived on the outskirts of Clan life, observing the wild cats but never directly approaching anyone. She now moves constantly, following prey, her instincts, and anything that strikes her curiosity.
