Midnightkit, Blossomkit, and Cherrykit were newborns. Blossomkit and Cherrykit were littermates, while Midnightkit was the only kit born of her parents.
Midnighkit woke up and prodded Blossomkit and Cherrykit, mewing, "Get up! Let's play!"
"Yeah!" Blossomkit mewed, getting up and stretching. Cherrykit opened her eyes, "What should we play?"
"Moss-ball!" Midnighkit said excitedly. She found some moss and rolled it into a ball. Blossomkit and Cherrykit sat, impatiently waiting. Midnightkit started the moss-ball game by hurling the moss to Blossomkit, who missed the catch, and had to pick it up and remake it into a ball. She then passed it to her sister. Cherrykit caught it, and passed it to Midnightkit, who caught it in a claw, then meowed, "Okay, this is boring now, let's find something else to do."
"What else is there to do? I don't really feel like playing fight, warrior, or mouse..." Blossomkit said.
Lightstep peered into the nursery to see the kits inside. They were playing, and that made her smile. She wondered where the queens were at, but she didn't say anything for a while. She thought it was adorable how kits became friends and played together when they were young. It brought back memories from when she was a kit. After a while, they seemed to slow down, becoming bored of their game.
She poked her head in. "Hello kits," she meowed. "Are you having a good time playing in here?" She sat down, curling her tail around her paws. "Where are your mothers at?" She couldn't see anyone around, not even Violetclaw, one of the pregnant queens who was usually inside the nursery. She supposed she would have to watch the kits until someone showed up.

Midnightkit turned and looked at the warrior, "Hi! I'm Midnightkit, and this is Blossomkit and Cherrykit" She mewed, flicking her tail by Blossomkit and Cherrykit. "We're kind of bored with our game now... Our mothers?" The three kits exchanged looks. Blossomkit and Cherrykit shrugged, so Midnightkit spoke again, "Well... We don't know. All I know is that I'm the only one born in my litter, while these two are littermates." She looked down and shifted her paws in embarrassment. Changing the subject, she meowed, "What's your name, and would you like to play a game with us?"
"You don't even know who your mothers are?" laughed Lightstep. "Don't they have names? What about your fathers, do you know who they are?" She was amused by the kits, and crouched down to their level to speak with them. She listened to them complain about being bored, and she wondered if she could think up a game for them to play. "Would you like to play a game of hide and go find?" she asked.
"I'm Lightstep," she added. "I'd love to play with you. If you're good, I'll let you out into the camp you that we can play in a bigger area. Just don't wander off, or I'm sure whomever your parents are, they'll have my tail."

"Well..." Midnightkit looked down again, "I think our parents don't live in Southclan or something..." She mewed. Or... The worst of all; they may just be... Dead... She thought, gulping. "Hide and go find? It sounds fun! But what do you do in that game?" Blossomkit asked, she didn't like talking about their parents because she didn't know anything.
"The forest? That would be amazing! Hey, can you tell me if there's a Medicine cat apprentice in Southclan? I'd love to be Medicine cat apprentice when I'm six moons old!" Cherrykit mewed happily. Wow, I hope we all behave enough to go into the forest! She thought, looking at Midnightkit and Blossomkit, I know Midnightkit is usually calm, but what about my sister and I? Well, I guess since it's a chance to get out of camp, we'll take it!
Lightstep tilted her head, wondering why the kits didn't know who their parents were. It was strange, and she imagined she'd have to ask around the camp about it later. "Well, hide and go find is easy. One person has to go find all the others who go hide. But you've got to wait for a little why before you go to look," she explained. "So what do you think, are you up for a game?"
She looked out into the forest, ready to take the kits out. "Oh, a medicine cat apprentice? I don't believe we have one yet, but Shadowclaw would know better than I would." She swished her tail, trying to get them to follow her. "Come along now, let's go and play."

"Yeah!" Midnightkit meowed happily, following Lightstep. The forest! Great! We're not even apprentices yet! She thought excitedly. Blossomkit was about as excited as Midnightkit sounded. She pounced on the other kit's tail, who turned and cuffed her ear with a claws-sheathed paw. This is fun! I can't wait until we play hide and go find! I wonder how far in the forest we'll be going... Cherrykit followed the others a bit slowler, It's great that we're in the forest and all, but is it really a good idea for three kits to be out in the forest? What if a fox or a badger gets us? Well, I might as well enjoy the game, rather than worry...
"Alright, we're going to go out into the woods now," she meowed, leading the kits out there. "Just make sure that you stick around near the camp when we're out here. If you get lost, just stay in one place so that I can get some warriors to go looking for you. Don't wander off! You don't want to get lost out here." She didn't want to frighten them, but she also didn't want them to get hurt. She turned to them.
"Are you ready for the game? I'm going to shut my eyes and wait for you all to hide. Once you've hidden, I'm going to go and find you. Whomever I find first has to be the next cat to go and find," she explained the game. She closed her eyes shut tight and got ready for the kits to scramble off to find hiding places.

Midnightkit nodded, then raced off into the forest, Cherrykit following. She whipped around and hissed quietly, "Cherrykit! You have to find your own place to hide!" Then she continued, found a small hollow in a tree trunk and hid in it, crouching low.
Blossomkit dashed, looking for a good place to hide, I've got to find a place to hide that Lightstep wouldn't think of looking in! She thought, wondering what the best place was. She soon found a large patch of undergrowth, perfect! She thought as she lightly stepped between some bracken, lied down, and waited.
Cherrykit, disappointed that Midnightkit wouldn't let her go, too, looked around desperately for a place to hide, I bet Blossomkit found a good place already! If I don't hurry, Lightstep is going to find me! She quickly found a fern to hide behind, and made herself look as tiny as possible, I hope my pelt doesn't give me away.. She thought, looking at her brown tabby fur.
Lightstep waited for the kits to go and hide. As soon as she figured they'd all found hiding places, she opened her eyes. She couldn't see any of them around, which meant that they had at least gotten the idea of the game. She sniffed the air, picking up traces of their scents. They had quickly scrambled away, and left scuffling marks on the ground.
It was going to be so easy to find them, so she made up her mind that she was just going to pretend that they were hiding very well, for the fun of it. She wandered around as though she couldn't even begin to know where to look. "Now, where have those kits gone?" she said to herself. She poked her nose behind trees, and even moved a rock or too in her pretend search.

She hasn't come close to finding us yet! I bet she'll never find us! Midnightkit thought excitedly, We must be hiding really well if a warrior can't even find us!
Blossomkit waited in the patch of undergrowth, I don't think Lightstep's going to find me any time soon! I wonder who is going to get found first... Hopefully not me! She thought as she crouched in the bracken.
Cherrykit waited impatienly behind the fern, I hope I'm not found first... I don't think I'm very good at hiding... She thought.
Lightstep, after mulling around for a while and pretending she didn't know where to look, decided it was best to find the first kit. She followed Midnightkit's scent until she found a tree trunk, and poked her nose inside it. "There you are!" she meowed. "You hid very well, but it looks like you're going to be next to go find."
She'd seen rustling coming from a fern nearby, and knew there must be another kit hiding inside of it. She looked over and saw Cherrykit down there. "Found you, Cherrykit," she purred. Now she only had Blossomkit to find. She looked around.
She sniffed the air until she found Blossomkit's scent from inside a patch of undergrowth. She crouched down and saw the kit. "You've been found last, which means you win," she announced happily.
Gamma quietly lied under the soft moss as she watched the apprentices play outside the nursery. "What to do. What to do." She sighed. "Maybe a game of Moss Ball!" She looked around. "Oh... I forgot.." Gamma murmured. "You need to have more than one kit around to play Moss Ball."
Gamma paced the nursery thinking of what to do. "Oh I know!" She cried. "I can play Bug Trap!" She sat on the floor looking for bugs. Hours past and she didn't find one bug. Where are my littermates?! She thought.
OCC: S'up people.

Midnightkit, Cherrykit, and Blossomkit padded back to the original spot, each going back when they were found. Midnightkit gulped nervously, I hope I don't get lost or I have a hard time finding another cat! She thought.
Blossomkit sat and kneaded the ground in impatience, waiting for Lightstep to come so they could continue the game, I wonder where I should hide next..
Cherrykit's eyes shown in happiness as she thought Well, at least I wasn't the first to be found! I'm glad I didn't lose... I'd be very happy if I'm not found first next time, too.
"Alright, Midnightkit, since you were found first it's your turn to go looking for everyone. Try not to stray too far while you're looking for us," Lightstep meowed. She got ready to go and hide. She was enjoying herself, playing with the kits. It almost made her wish that she had some of her own. She liked the time she got to spend out in the sun, with the breeze in her fur, and walking through all of the trees... but the kits, they were so adorable.
Maybe I should think about getting a mate? she thought to herself. She didn't know any cats in the Clan that she would feel comfortable with getting together with, but she was having a bout of maternal instinct that was threatening to turn her world upsidedown. She shook her head, trying to focus on the game.
