AGE: Nine moons (greenleaf)
RANK: Medicine Cat Apprentice
Petite even for nine moons, Snowpaw is a smaller cat than most. She has a lithe frame carried by wiry yet powerful muscles. She has a medium-length coat that is well-groomed and healthy, and a pair of round, bright, amber eyes—like those of a hawk. Her face and ears are a solid black in a mask-like pattern, broken up by a white muzzle.
Snowpaw’s distinctive pelt, however, is what turns most heads. An ashy gray covers her body, which noticeably fades to white at the extremities (tail and paws) and her underbelly. The gray is darker, almost black, along her shoulders and the base of her tail. Large white flecks dot her flanks, like gentle snowflakes falling to the earth.
Altruistic and kind, Snowpaw's heart bleeds for all cats, no matter what Clan they might be from. She is something of a worrywart—the wellbeing of her Clanmates causes her some anxiety, though she is very good at hiding it. Her nervousness instead comes out as a nitpicking obsession to do well, even when odds are against her. Although fierce and fiery when standing up for what she believes in, she shows surprising gentleness in all things relating to medicine, especially towards kits.
Snowpaw does not take personal failure well. As a young cat, she is prone to making mistakes. She is, however, too harsh on herself when she slips up. It frustrates her to no end. She is intelligent and mature for her age, though she hides it behind modesty, and she becomes shy and flustered when complimented. Though not a particularly adventurous young she-cat, when Snowpaw seeks answers, she lets nothing get in her way.
Her belief in StarClan and the warrior code is muddled with doubt; his apprenticeship was surrounded with the growing disbelief in StarClan. While she hasn’t been told that StarClan has gone silent, Snowpaw has her suspicions.
Snowkit was born in full greenleaf alongside her only sibling, Hawkkit. Her mother named her fondly after the soft flecks of white dotting her ash-colored pelt. She spent much of her kithood in the nursery, as she did not have the same adventurous tendency as her brother. Larger, stronger, and braver than she, it was true Hawkkit received much of the attention from their Clan. Snowkit was never resentful; Hawkkit was turning into a promising, strong warrior. In fact, she was, and is, proud of her brother, and is closer to him than most other kits with their littermates.
She was made a warrior apprentice alongside her brother, during a warm sun-high. Snowpaw was happy and proud, though she was secretly apprehensive. She felt something wasn’t… right about her apprenticeship. Of course, Snowpaw trained hard under her mentor, proved to be a cunning fighter and a formidable hunter…. But she never felt like it was the right thing to be doing to help her clan to the fullest.
She was a normal warrior apprentice for a little under two moons before her affinity for caring for others sent her to the path of a medicine cat.
