AGE: Eight moons (greenleaf)
Leafpaw is a pretty calico she-cat. With medium-length hair, her neck, belly fur, and paws are a solid white, while a few patches of white dot her hind legs. Her face is split evenly in half by a black patch of fur. Her calico coat is mostly brindled, giving it the look of a dark forest floor covered in the leaves of leaf-fall. Where there are patches ginger fur, the tabby stripes are very distinctive.
Her eyes, an icy blue hue, are round and bright, and her ears are large and inquisitive. Leafpaw has the lean, muscled frame of an apprentice built to do well in fights. A long, thin, mostly ginger tail is used to balance herself over uneven terrain and the branches of the trees she is often found in.
Leafpaw is an enthusiastic and excitable young apprentice. She doesn’t let many things dampen her mood or get in her way. A quick and avid learner, Leafpaw enjoys learning new things, although her lack of patience has a tendency of making it seem like doesn’t want to be taught. Her wit is quicker than her paws, and her sharp, sarcastic remarks make her appear disrespectful. Leafpaw, however, has a deep respect for authority and the warrior code—her eagerness just oftentimes gets the better of her.
Leafpaw is recklessly courageous. She loves to climb trees… and the taller, the better. She’ll climb over Burnt Pines or explore Stardust Trail for Twolegs. Her bravery gets her in trouble consistently. Most of the time, the she-cat can’t even help it. When a cat is in need, she is hasty to help them; when she has to prove herself, she is rash to do better than anyone expected. Leafpaw is a very loyal cat. She is sociable, intelligent, and kind, despite her smart-aleck attitude. She enjoys the beauty of the forest she lives in as much as the company of other cats.
She was born in the peak of greenleaf, when the canopy of the forest is at its thickest. Born to two full-blooded SouthClan cats, her mother called her Leafkit, for her brindled calico pelt that resembled the leafy forest floor. Leafkit was always getting into trouble. She was a strong kit, matured quickly, and wasn’t afraid to venture off and explore—even when she wasn’t permitted. A number of times Leafkit escaped the nursery and into the Dark Forest, where search parties would often spend a considerable amount of time trying to find her. Most of the time, she would be stuck up in a tree too high for someone as young as her to climb down from.
At six moons, she was made an apprentice to Redstep with the hope that the older warrior would be a good influence on the eager and impatient Leafpaw.
