The spots on her back rippled like her namesake. Why did she bother coming here? She’d left EastClan’s temporary home with the intention of collecting herbs on neutral territory, as she was too afraid to go back into the land now claimed by NorthClan. It wasn’t as if she had ever been here before, even as an apprentice. What was the point?
She was inexplicably drawn to this place… Her white paws carried her, as if gliding through a dream. The clouds overhead parted with the wind, releasing the moon from its cover. Moonlight split the clearing from the rest of the world, glinting off the surfaces of the strange stones. They appeared to glow before her eyes, the bizarre reflection of light making her drowsy.
Snowfall stumbled a little in her sudden lethargy, so she braced herself against one of the stones. The gray-and-white young medicine cat slid to the ground and pressed her nose to the cool stone.
In the last seconds before she drifted off, her pelt tinged with warmth and Snowfall had the feeling that she was no longer alone…

CARDINALTAIL; former westclan medicine cat
The calico she-cat, the last and final one to be sent to StarClan and the only one spared from their exile - Cardinaltail - appeared among the ancient stones. This had been the place of her death, her words of the final prophecy, and the feeling of dread she felt as the claws of a long-dead Silence cat cut through her throat. If it had been moments before she would have been just as lost as the rest of them. She very nearly was, only avoiding being driven out of the stars by hiding.
Every step she took was cautious, filled with concern that the spirits of the Silence lurked behind trees or in the shadows. She hadn't dared come out of hiding in a long time, not for anything. She only descended from hidden places in StarClan to the Standing Stones below to give a warning to the first medicine cat she'd seen there in ages. Stars glistened in her pelt as she entered the dreams of the sleeping EastClan cat.
Though they were not from the same Clan lineage, she had no choice. Paranoia crept over her as she thought she could see the shadows move out of the corner of her eyes, maybe the flashing glimpse of glistening fangs. Her fears were realized as the ancient spirits of the Silence crept forth, ready with the sharpest claws and eyes glowing like beacons.
Cardinaltail had no choice, she approached Snowfall in the dream, trying to think of something she could say. Something to warn the Clans. Anything at all. If they only remembered the legends of the past, about the times before during Ansuz's reign. But the legends were nothing but worn whispers of past times, exaggerated or twisted until they didn't even resemble the truth. There had to be some way, someone the Clans could turn to for answers. Some cat with knowledge of legends that had long since been forgotten. Someone who could remember.
The former WestClan medicine cat had run out of time, as the shadowy spirits approached her rapidly. "Remember --!" she yowled to Snowfall, letting it resonate across the dreamscape. That was all that could escape her mouth before they overtook her and her broken spirit faded away with their claws and teeth on her throat.
