I. No chatspeak or cutting corners with grammar and spelling. This does not count if it's just in jest, but don't type like that all the time. Spamming is likewise not prohibited.
II. No powerplaying or god-mode. This means that you cannot control other characters, or surroundings that would be normally out of a character's control. You may not kill another person's character without consent as well.
III. No one under the age of 13 is permitted to join this site, as forbidden by the COPPA and the Proboards Terms of Service. Failure to comply will result in your account being shut down if you are found to be underage.
IV. Do not post content, or links to sites with content that may go against the Proboards TOS. This includes illegal or pornographic content.
V. Offensive topics or behavior will result in warnings, or potential banishment. No racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise potentially harmful remarks are allowed. Discussion of politics and religion should also be kept to a minimum, as it is flame bait.
VI. When you are posting in-character, please keep your posts at least two paragraphs long. This paragraphs must be made up of four or more sentences each. If you want a word count, basically type at least 100 words for every in-character reply. This is flexible, but we want to be literate here, so don't slack off.
VII. There is no limitation to how many characters you can have as long as you can manage them all. There is a limitation on having only one character in a position of power, however. This means you cannot have a leader character as well as a deputy character. This does not count if in-roleplay your character assumes a position of high power when you already have one who is there, but you cannot appoint your own characters to power. For example, if you have a leader character, you are not allowed to make another one of your characters deputy or medicine cat.
VIII. Do not have your character appearing in two places at once. This is confusing and can throw timelines out of loop very easily. This does not count for Gatherings, which take place outside the timeline. Other exceptions are if you absolutely need to have your character in two places at once. If this is the case, make sure that nothing significant (such as injuries, death, et cetera) happens to your character in one thread until any extra threads are finished.
Please try not to use large finite measures of time to dictate how long it's been in-roleplay unless it takes place starting from prior to the site's opening. This is to ensure that the timeline doesn't become muddled. Please pay attention to the amount of months it's been at the top of the page when considering posting in regards to time.
IX. If your character breaks one of the in-character warrior code laws (as this is a common occurrence given the setting), do not expect them to be able to get away with it all the time, especially if it is a high offense. Punishment for breaking the laws can be given out in-character by characters in a position of power. If you have a position of power, use discretion when deciding what to do about someone else's character's offense, and talk to them about it before you decide.
