He knew that in time he would need to go back to NorthClan to claim the kits that he had fathered with one of their young warriors. There was nothing that could stop Anubis once he began one of his missions. He was a vicious and wrathful cat, with power in his muscles and hate in his mind. When he was a kittypet, he had been abused by his owners ever since he was born. They had tried to kill him many times, and ever since then his mind had never been the same. Anubis was a monster, but he hadn't been born that way. He had enough fierceness for ten raiders, and that made him wild and unpredictable.

The cream colored Fledgling slinks forward, tail tucked vetween her legs, ears flattened in a submissive way. The young she-cat's eyes darted this way and that, looking for the slightest hint of brutality from any approaching cats. She grabs a scrawny vole from the small pile of fresh-kill and slinked to a shadowy part to eat. Settling down, Cream keeps alert as she starts nibbling on the vole like a squirrel, afraid that another Raider might come over and take it away from her. Her gaze landed on Anubis, once of the most brutal and craziest toms that was apart of the Raiders. She'd heard stories that the Leutinent forcebred a she-cat warrior from Northclan, her old home. The semi-long furred cat had a huge fear of the tom, and she nibbled a bit faster on the scrawny vole.

He grinned with deviousness, his twisted mind churning with ways he could make the little cream-colored she-cat miserable. He approached her with an evil smile on his face, and his reinforced claws glistening menacingly in the sunlight. //"Hello, little one,"// he hissed, his words dripping with venom. //"You look scared, but I can give you a real reason to be afraid."//

[bg=5F6F7D][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Kennedy - Kennedy saw Lieutenant Anubis approaching Cream, and knew that nothing good was going to come of it. Brutal treatment was part of the training of any Fledgling, but he didn't want Anubis to inflict anything worse than usual on the young cat. After all, even if she was still in training, she was a Raider, and therefore she was family. Still, he knew that Anubis outranked him, and he couldn't say anything about it. Cream looked familiar, though he didn't think he'd directly spoken to her before. He'd once took a kit from NorthClan to earn his Raider rank, maybe this was that kit.

The Fledgling's mind starting turning gears as the Lieutenant came forth and threatened her. She knew thst if she just cowered there, Anybis would surely inflict some damage. Using her quick thinking, the she-cat knew she was smaller than Anubis, and that was her advantage. Cream quickly ducks and runs firward smoothly, crawling right under the tom's belly and taking a left to run away. For a moment, the cream-colored she-cat felt triumph, this was exactly the kind of thinking that Koschei kept her for. Then, she ran into another tom, a Raider named Kennedy. She quickly backed up from the tom, her pale blue eyes mixed with fear and hatred, this was the Raider who took her from her home!

He let out a growl of frustration and turned around on his paws, his reinforced claws ready to strike. He leaped towards Cream as Cream leaped towards Kennedy, and hissed as he jumped into the air, trying to show the little apprentice what for. //"I'll show you to disrespect me!"// he snarled with bared teeth.

The look in her eyes certainly indicated that she recognized him. So this really was the kit that he had stolen from NorthClan. I owe my rank to her, practically, he thought to himself. He didn't exactly want Anubis to hurt her. He knew he was outranked and couldn't really do anything about it, but Cream was going to be a part of the Raider family. //"Lieutenant Anubis, I'm going to work with Cream on some training, so if you don't mind could you leave her be this once?"// he ventured.

The she-cat's eyes widened in shock. The raider, who kidnapped her, was trying to protect her? I'd rather go hungry for a few days, she thinks to herself, trying to keep a neutral look on her face. Her pale blue eyes darted to Lieutenant Anubis, who seemed quite angry that she had skillfully evaded him. Although beat and broken down, Cream could be a good addition someday. Quick thinking and planning came naturally to her. Her obedience was to all the Raiders that outranked her, but she strived to be as good as possible when it came to orders from rose, a calico she-cat Raider. There was a weird, sisterly/mother-daughter bond between the two, since Rose had such sympathy for the easily scared Fledgling.

He outstretched his claws and pressed down on Cream's tail, pinning it to the ground in an attempt to prevent any escape attempt. He wasn't about to listen to the orders of a mere Raider when it came to what to do or not to do with the little Fledgling. //"Stay out of this, Kennedy,"// he hissed. //"I'll be the one doing training with her, if there's going to be any."//

Training was brutal, but it was something that all the fledglings had to go through. He couldn't really argue now, and he was already sure that he had made Anubis upset. He didn't want to push it any further, besides it was only one little cream-colored she-cat, and he wasn't about to risk his fur over her.

The pretty calico she-cat pads into the Raiders' camp gracefully. Her blue eyes darted to a commotion, and she let out a hiss when she saw Anubis threatening her favorite Fledgling, a cream she-cat named Cream. Rose walks over, her mood switching from happy to brutal fury, her eyes clearly showing it. She shoves the Lieutenant's paw and claws off of the Fledgling's tail and puts herself between the two, her lips pulled back into a menacing snarl. "I'll be the one who handles Cream's training. I can get permission from Koschei, since the Fledgling responds to me better than any of you. I advise that you take a step back and leave her alone." she hisses, her fur bristling. She had become very protective of the young she-cat, mostly because she sympathized for Cream, but also because of the terrified creature she became. It was no way to treat Cream, even if she was a Fledgling. The cream-colored cat was extremely skilled in an area that even the Captains could not match. The Fledgling had an amazing ability for planning ambushes, raids, etc. She also had the quick-thinking and intelligence that every Raider needed. Besides, Rose had taken in the young she-cat under her wing ever since she had appealed to Koschei about the benefits of having Cream as a Raider.

The young she-cat let out a yowl when the Lieutenant sunk his claws into her fluffy tail. Her pale blue eyes flooded with relief when Rose had come over. Now seperated from Anubis, the Fledgling cowers behind the calico Raider, keeping her distance from both Anubis and Kennedy. Cream was grateful that she and Rose had a special bond, they were inseperable, unless it was required when Koschei gave Rose a certain job.

She was now standing between him and Cream, which only made him more angry. //"I think you've forgotten who your superiors are, Rose,"// he hissed. //"You may be on Captain Jagger and Lieutenant Rune's raiding squad, but you still have to listen to me. I outrank you."// He didn't care about what she had to say. //"If I want to train the little brat, I can do so unless Koschei says otherwise. Though, to be honest, I don't care what that odd-eyed furball has to say."// The way he spoke, his idea of training would be less beneficial and toughening, and more to the point of beating the little cream-colored cat to near death.

She was a very pretty she-cat, he thought. He could see how much she wanted to protect Cream. She probably had a good sense of how the Raiders were a family. What he didn't like was the fact that he had gone against Anubis, a cat who clearly outranked her. His emerald eyes darted back and forth from one cat to another, wondering if a fight was going to break out, and whose side he'd be on if one did. His squad's lieutenant was Anubis, so he might be more loyal to him, but then again he might gain Rose's favor if he chose her side.

"Who said I had to listen to the Lieutenant of another squad? And I know what your idea of training is, and you will not do that to Cream. She's obviously worth more than you are, she has common sense. Oh wait, even you don't have that much knowledge." she taunts the tom, knowing she was asking for a fight. Her blue eyes darted to Kennedy, a tom of Anubis's squad. Rose's eyes were dangerous and glared at him out of the corner of her eyes, suggesting he not fight if one breaks out. This fight is between me and Anubis. Nobody will hurt Cream any further. The calico's thoughts sounded motherly, as if she had laid claim to the young Fledgling. She'd get Koschei's permission to be Cream's one, and only, trainer. The Sovereign would surely agree, the Fledgling didn't respond as well to orders as she to did to Rose. Plus, she didn't want the young she-cat to end up on Lieutenant Anubis's squad. The Raider pulls her lips back into a snarl, her tail tapping Cream to get out of the way.

The terrified Fledgling stayed close to the calico Raider, her pale blue eyes fixed on Anubis. Rose was surely asking for a fight, and, if one broke out, she'd go get Koschei, or even join in. Cream thought the idea of Rose being her only trainer was great, she didn't want to be trained, er, killed by Anubis. When the Raider tapped her with her tail, the cream-colored she-cat knew she had to get out of the way. She backed up a few tail-lengths and stayed there, ready to flee if a fight broke out so that she could go get Koschei.

This was not a proper example of teamwork. Even though they were on different raiding squads, they should at least express a certain amount of camaraderie towards one another. He snarled a little bit, expressing his frustration at the lack of cooperation his Raiders displayed. He didn't intervene, however. He didn't think he needed to, unless a fight broke out. Raiders fought others, they weren't supposed to fight among themselves. The only time that was permitted was for training purposes, and Lieutenant Anubis and Rose had already long passed theirs. He blinked his odd eyes as he observed them. He was particularly interested in the little cream-colored cat. Rose had mentioned things about her to him a few times. Apparently she was very good at planning, which was good for the Raiders. Of course, her training might have to be altered a little bit in order to fit with her abilities. Brute force and being taught how to fight extremely well may not work for her.

They were reinforced, glinting in the sunlight, showing off the stains of blood. His gray eyes were darting crazily back and forth. //"I don't give a mouse's tail whose squad you're on, I still outrank you,"// spat Anubis. //"Now hand over the little brat or I'll flay you."// He could see Kennedy, a raider from his squad, tensing up. Maybe he'd have support in a battle.

[bg=5F6F7D][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300,true]Kennedy - Kennedy noticed that Rose was signalling him to ease himself. He didn't know whether or not he was going to follow direction. A one-on-one fight between Rose and Anubis could potentially end in disaster. He saw Cream getting ready to run for help if anything happened. He couldn't help but think that Sovereign Koschei would be incredibly angry if he saw what was going on here. He was always advocating that the Raiders work together, instead of fighting among themselves.

"Why don't you make me, furrball?" she hisses, unsheathing her claws. The calico she-cat reacts quickly and attempts to rake her claws across the Lieutenant's muzzle as she'd run by, hoping to be able to get behind the large tom. She had learned a thing or two when spying on the clan cats during their battle training, and it would come in handy right now. If Anubis didn't react as fast, then Rose would make a jump and try to hook her claws onto the fur on his back, and hold on tight. She'd have to be very carefully and quick, the tom could roll over at any time and squish her.

The Fledgling watches, pale blue eyes widened in shock, as Rose darts forward and tries to rake her claws down the Lieutenant's muzzle. Her gaze followed the calico, seeing the attempt to sink claws into Anubis's back. Cream then flees, her nose lifted in the air to track down Koschei. He was surprisingly close, actually. She runs over to him, her maw opened but no words coming out. The cream-colored she-cat closes her maw and instead flicks her tail urgently to the fight going on, silently rooting that Rose would win.

[bg=352d24][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] KOSCHEI: SOVEREIGN OF RAIDERS Koschei looked down at cream, not saying a word, but just staring at her. She looked like she couldn't quite spit out what she was trying to say, but he could see it for himself. Anubis and Rose were clearly going to fight with one another, which was no doubt counterproductive and could end in loss of life which meant less Raiders. "Don't stand there tongue-tied, fledgling," Koschei murmured with an edge of severity in his voice. Her tail flicked towards the fighting cats and he nodded at her. "The things I have to put up with these days. I expect better out of Rose, at least." With his muscles bunched up, he walked past Cream. Raising his claws, he brought them down on Anubis' muzzle, and then he turned on Rose with his teeth bared and hissed. "Cease your fighting this instant," he growled. He was reluctant to strike Rose at first, but he swiped at her ear to emphasize his point. His claws were reinforced, however, and could easily shred things. His odd-eyes stared at her with something that might have been a shine of apology at he lashed out at her.

He slammed into her, but before he could do anything else, Koschei stepped into his line of sights. Before he could say anything, the Sovereign's claws came crashing down on his muzzle, ripping the bridge of his nose and his nose itself, and slashing down towards his chin. He howled out in pain, smacked to the side with blood spurting out of his deep cutting wounds and flowing into his mouth. He crashed down with his paws over his face, trying to stop the bleeding. //"Aaagh!"// he cried. //"My nose, my whiskers, agggh!"// He was screeching in pain, clutching at his face as the blood continued to flow.

He knew that Koschei was upset, and he didn't want to make the situation worse by implying that he had been at all involved. He knew that Koschei liked Rose, even to the point of having some kind of a father-daughter type of bond with her, and was surprised when he struck at her. Still, the raider leader was prone to doing wildly mad things when angered. Out of the corners of his emerald eyes, he could see the pain that Anubis was in. Koschei's claws had cut practically down to the bone in places.
