SASHA HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS WORD COUNT - 226
WITH HUNGRY EYES, the hunting feline stalked through the shadows of houses and fences. His shaded gray and black fur faded in and out as the brightness faded and appeared. He darted past street lights and growling cars that passed on through town. He jumped towards one of the fences, smelling the scents of pampered kittypets. He remembered the days when he was just like them, but they were long past.
HE BRUSHED PAST the other cats, his yellow eyes darting back and forth as he did. They knew he was not one of them, and they were scared of him. He did his best not to let his own fear be known, because Raiders were brave and mighty. That's what he kept telling himself, anyway, murmuring as he rushed underneath another set of trees and through gardens. He wasn't sure where he was going, but at this moment in time he didn't want to go back to the raiders.
MAYBE IF HE LOOKED hard enough he could find a young, naive tom-kit or she-kit to lure away from their home and bring back to Raiders Run. He couldn't see any at the current moment in time, but he kept his eyes open. He didn't have much status in his group, but maybe if he proved himself to them, they wouldn't think that he was a weak coward.

The young black and white kittypet crawled down off of the fence that he was sitting on, curious as a cat whose scent smelled foreign crept through the neighborhood. He followed Sasha like a shadow, curious as to where the cat might go. He kept his distance, agile in the trees as he leaped around to avoid being detected.
"He's probably a raider," the kittypet meowed to himself. He'd heard stories about those cats, and how feared and respected they were. He'd very much like to have that kind of power for himself, and he wondered just how he was going to go about getting it. Maybe if he introduced himself to the feral brute, he wouldn't be torn to shreds, but rather welcomed.
He dropped down off of another fence and down in front of Sasha. His blue eyes glimmered with some determined bravery. "Ahoy, my name is Brodie, and you look like a raider," he meowed, introducing himself with gusto. "Do tell me, how does one join your ruffian group?"

HE TURNED AROUND with confusion as he heard the strains of some kittypet's voice calling out to him. He saw a handsome young black and white tom standing there, questioning about how one would join the Raiders. This is such perfect luck, Sasha thought. If I bring this cat back with me, I'll earn the respect of my peers and comrades, and might even be commended. Not to mention, he's a pretty young thing...
HE OPENED HIS mouth and purred. "Greetings Brodie," he meowed. "My name is Sasha, and if you tell me it's a she-cat name, I'll rip your throat out." He wasn't actually one hundred percent sure if he was capable of ripping another cat's throat out, but threatening usually did the trick before violence was actually required. He looked the black and white cat up and down. He was decently built, but he'd need to go through some training yet. He couldn't be more than ten or maybe eleven moons old, not even a year yet.
THE KITTYPET WAS not wearing a collar, he noticed. Sasha remembered when he had been a kittypet, and how he had worn an itchy, uncomfortable one around his neck. This cat was lucky not to have that problem. The fact that the kittypet had been seeking to join the Raiders by request was a good indication that he wasn't a sissy, too. That was somewhat more than Sasha could say for himself. "So, you want to be a raider, then, eh?"
The young, pregnant calico she-cat dragged her body through the streets of the twolegplace. She looked around, wearily. She did not have any place to go, so she wandered cold and alone with raggedy fur. She felt sick, and she could barely scrounge up enough to feed herself. She was beginning to wonder if running away from the Clan who adopted her had been a good idea. She saw some cats talking to each other.
Her eyes narrowed. One of the smelled distinctly of raider, and she knew it because she'd smelled that horrible stench before on the cat who raped her. In fear, her ears tilted back and she darted to the side. "No way I'm going to speak to any more raiders," she meowed to herself. But then again, there was a young black and white cat who did not seem like a raider talking to the bigger cat. She wondered if maybe he was in trouble.
The kittypet was inwardly amused by Sasha's name, but he hid his feelings well. "Wasn't going to say a word about it, sir," he assured. His twitched his ears, smiling when his guess that this cat was a raider was confirmed. He didn't seem so tough, though, and Brodie was unafraid, even if the threats on his life. "You heard me correctly, I do want to join the Raiders."
He stood up, displaying his well-built physique as though he were showing off or flexing his muscles. "I think I'd be quite an asset, if you'd have me," he meowed. "I'm strong and I'm young, and I'll have to add that I am quite an intelligent cat." Brodie didn't mind bragging, it was something he was very well accomplished in. I've got this in the can, he thought.

HIS EYES SCANNED the feline in front of him, and he did come to a similar conclusion. No doubt this kittypet was very strapping, and handsome even. Sasha would have liked to have another young and evidently single cat in the Raiders. If not for himself, then for one of the lovely she-cats in his group. More fledglings were needed, after all, and no one of the female raiders was currently pregnant.
"No doubt you would be," he replied. He was definitely going to take Brodie back to Raiders' Run with him, that was for sure. But just as he was about to invite the kittypet home with him, he scented another cat hanging around. That cat smelled less like a kittypet and more like a lone cat, with scents mingling all over. He turned his head and saw Almondpaw.
HE TURNED TO BRODIE and twitched his tail. "Stay here, he commanded. He went after Almondpaw, who was clearly pregnant, young, and vulnerable. She could be a good addition to the raiders as well, bringing small new fledglings with her. He tried to act as non-threatening as possible. "Good morning, miss," he meowed. "Are you lost?"

Almondpaw glared as Sasha approached her, and she stood her ground. "Back off! I'm not going to talk to any stinkin' raider," she spat. Her voice was high in pitch because she was still young. When she'd left her Clan, she had only just been apprenticed. She turned around, hissing, trying to do her best to get Sasha away from her.
Raiders think they can go anywhere and do whatever they want, she thought. I won't let them try to hurt me anymore. If he wants to try and kidnap me, he's got another thing coming! She walked towards where Brodie was, hoping that she could convince him to also stay away from Sasha.
Brodie's ears pricked up with interest as Almondpaw headed in his direction, trying to avoid speaking to Sasha. He almost laughed at this. He was looking her over, noticing she was pregnant despite the fact that she couldn't have been more than six or seven moons old. He tried to look calm as she walked over. Maybe he could help Sasha catch her so that he would be a better candidate for the raiders.
"Hello miss, what's your hurry?" he asked politely,

HIS WHISKERS TWITCHED with amusement as Almondpaw veered away from him, and went in Brodie's direction. Now she was left to have to deal with a cat who would do anything to get into the Raiders, yet seemed completely innocent at the same time. He smirked, impressed by how this plan was going to go. He'd bring back two cats for the price of one, and Koschei and Captain Amelia would praise him for it.
"That's it," murmured Sasha. "Reel her in nice and easy." He licked his teeth. Almondpaw seemed like a fiesty one, but Sasha didn't have any doubts that Brodie could trick her into going back to Raiders' Run. Even if he couldn't trick her, the two of them could easily overpower her and drag her back there if they needed to.
BRODIE BEGAN TALKING to Almondpaw while Sasha watched from a distance. Everything was going exactly according to his plans, which made him purr with delight. A sudden noise behind him, however, betrayed his more fearful side as he lurched forward and climbed a fence to escape the sound. It was just a fallen trash can lid, but it had startled him. He hoped this wouldn't send Almondpaw running.
Almondpaw was going to take advantage of Brodie talking to her to tell him to stay away from Raiders. "Listen to me, don't talk to that cat. He's part of a bad group of cats who go around hurting people," she said, searching for the right words to say. She was still young and couldn't come up with a very compelling argument. "One of them... he..." She looked at her pregnant stomach and back up at Brodie with sadness in her eyes as she trailed off.
"Please listen to me, stay away from them. Here I could take you to someplace safer. Tell me where you live!" she meowed. She was determined to do anything to keep Brodie from being kidnapped by the Raiders.
He pretended to listen to what Almondpaw had to say, nodding along as she spoke. He glanced back at Sasha as the cat was scared by a sudden noise. Ha, some brave Raider he is, he thought with a smug smirk. He turned back to Almondpaw, still pretending to listen. "Yeah, yeah," he meowed. "You can take me home."
He knew that this was the perfect chance to lead her to wherever the Raider camp was. He looked over at Sasha, hoping that he had heard and understood the plan. He flicked his tail towards Almondpaw, and tried to mouth the words 'where is your camp?' at him. "I'm glad you told me about the dangers of strangers," Brodie meowed to Almondpaw. "You've probably saved my life."

HE COULD SEE that Brodie was trying to tell him something, and he squinted to see. He nodded, flicking his tail to get Brodie to follow him. He would take both cats back to the camp, and they'll be surrounded before they even knew it. He wasn't going to easy on Brodie just because he was willing and pretty. He knew a Raider's duty. Though... he probably wouldn't participate in the actual trapping of either Almondpaw or Brodie.
HE STARTED TO lead Brodie down the way, hoping that he would follow. He hoped that Almondpaw wouldn't start to suspect that something was up. That could throw everything off. He had to stay out of eye-line. He went up on the fences and ducked between trees and bushes that were overhanging to get out of the view of Almondpaw. He'd hoped that Brodie could mostly rely on following his scent back to Raider's Run.
OOC: After you two post, let's move to Raider's Run.
She walked with Brodie, unaware that she was being led into a trap. She could see that the black and white cat seemed to be intently watching something in the distance, but when she looked she couldn't see anything. "So are you a kittypet?" she asked, trying to strike up a conversaiton. The other cat wasn't wearing a collar, but if he lived around here he was most likely a pet.
Brodie rolled his bright blue eyes when he was asked if he was a kittypet. "Kind of," he replied. He didn't want to solidify the fact that he was, because he hoped to be a raider instead. He couldn't exactly tell Almondpaw that, however, as the entire plan would fall apart if he did. He looked at her for a moment, wondering exactly how she'd gotten herself into such a predicament. She was a little young to be bearing kits.
"I'm Brodie, by the way, what's your name?" he asked. He looked back up into the distance to track Sasha. He followed along, towards the territory that the Raiders lived in. He didn't mind if Almondpaw didn't introduce herself, but he thought that at least she should know his name.
