[MOTHTAiL] Eyes wide with enthusiasm fit for a hunt, Mothtail crouched down, eyeing a wren that had landed on one of the higher branches of the burned down trees. She didn't know why birds still bothered to come to the pines. It didn't seem like there was anything left here for them. There was barely anything left here for the Clan since the pines caught fire, but she did hear that medicine cats could find a decent amount of herbs growing through the ash.
I can't imagine some of the apprentices playing back here, it's too dangerous, she thought. There were places they could get injured left and right, and the logs would crumble if they were played on too much. She focused back to the wren, ready to pounce on it. She into the air and grabbed it, but the branch it had landed on broke and she fell down to the ground.
Pain shot through her body and she let out a yowl. She couldn't move, and everything was going dizzy. She felt a trickle of blood from her nose, and she couldn't do anything as her bright yellow eyes faded and she went unconscious.

As the sunlight filtered through the broken and burnt trees, Deerspots walked. She'd been sent out on hunting patrol, and separated from the group so that she could hunt on her own. She always had a hard time controlling herself with all those big, handsome warriors around. Her ears pricked when she heard a yowl. Maybe some cats snuck off for some alone time. I should join them. She thought promiscuously.
She walked to where she had heard the sounds, and was surprised to see Mothtail there, laying on the ground broken and bleeding. "Mothtail!" she called out, trying to awaken her injured clanmate. There was no reply. She pressed her paw to Mothtail's side and tried to wake her up with more force this time. She tilted her head back and yowled. "Someone come and help!"

[MOTHTAiL] She opened her eyes briefly when she heard the sound of another warrior's voice. She moved her mouth a little, but she couldn't make any words come out. She could feel pain pulsing through her body. She had been briefly unconcious, and she felt as though she could slip into it any time again.
Help me... she thought, looking up at Deerspots with pleading eyes. If only Nightstrike were here. She wanted to see her mate so much. She didn't want these to be her final moments. She coughed, with blood coming up with vomit as well. The impact had ruptured something inside her. She needed the medicine cat, and quickly.

Deerspots cradled the head of the other warrior in her paw. She was almost so stunned that she didn't know what to do. This was a disaster; to have a warrior wounded, and not even on the battlefield. "You hold on, I'll go and get the medicine cat," she whispered. She wondered, though, just for a moment if the other warrior was going to make it. "Is there anything you want me to say to anyone? Just in case you die?" She knew it was morbid but she thought that the other warrior should have a last request. Mothtail was in bad shape, Deerspots didn't need to be a medicine cat to tell that.

[MOTHTAiL] Though she was slowly blacking out, she tried to respond to what Deerspots was saying. "Please..." She could only barely rasp the word, and through her eyes the world was still spinning and confusing her. "Get Nightstrike..." If she was going to die, the last thing she wanted to see was the face of her mate. She hoped that Deerspots could get to the medicine cat in time, but she wasn't sure that she was going to make it, even if the medicine cat did come. Her eyes closed, and she went unconscious. She could only dream of blackness, but at least she didn't have to suffer through the pain any longer. (I forgot about this thread, sorry.)

OOC: That's okay, I've been away because of school.
The warrior blinked and she realized that Mothtail thought she did not have much time. She shook her head quietly. "I'll go find him," she promised. She knew that Nightstrike was the mate of Mothtail. They were close and it only made sense for her to request him. But if she left and didn't do anything for Mothtail maybe she would die. Would it be her fault if she did? She looked around for something that could help. This warrior needed a medicine cat more than she needed her mate.

[MOTHTAiL] Mothtail's eyes were closing, and her breathing became more shallow. She was going into shock and her body was shutting down. The only thing she wanted was Nightstrike. She was pleading with her breaths for him, hoping that Deerspots would comply. If she didn't see Nightstrike before she died, she would die in tragedy.
If she hadn't come out here, if only she hadn't climbed the tree to catch the wren, then this would not have happened. She didn't think even a medicine cat could help her now. These were her final moments as a warrior, and all she wanted to do was spend them with her mate.

OOC: Should I have her bring Nightstrike or the medicine cat?

Shadowclaw heard the sounds nearby, and he rushed as fast as he could to the scene of the accident. He saw Mothtail on the ground, in pain, and Deerspots was standing over her looking distressed. His heart beat quicker. It had been a while since SouthClan had some true accident, or some serious injury. Luckily, he had been out looking for herbs, and he had them with him. "Deerspots, what's happened here?" he asked, but he could already guess. Mothtail's body looked bent and broken.
He examined her, barely able to figure out how she was still alive. The fall should have killed her, but she was hanging on. Not for long, and he wasn't sure if he could fix it. He would have asked for guidance from StarClan, but StarClan wasn't there. Leave the medicine cats alone, that makes perfect sense. Leave the Clans without guidance and leave us all to die.
"Calm down and just keep breathing," he instructed. He sorted through his herbs. If anything he could make her journey into death a calm one. He had herbs for pain, and he chewed them into a pulp. He opened up Mothtail's mouth and gently shoveled it in there with his paw. "Swallow that, if you can. It will ease your pain."
He wasn't sure if she was going to make it, but his instincts told him no. There wasn't any way he could fix her broken bones, and she most likely had internal damage that he couldn't fix as well. He shook his head and let out a quiet, hopeless sigh. He hadn't become a medicine cat but for the power of it, but he was powerless to stop this cat from dying.
