NAME: Harepaw AGE: 6 moons GENDER: Tom CLAN: NorthClan RANK: Apprentice/Medicine Cat Apprentice DESCRIPTION: Harepaw's name may seem as though it implies that his pelt is smooth and short, like during his kithood, but this is a bit contradictary now that he is getting closer to his full size. His thin, medium length fur is a dark blue-gray with slight, for the most part unnoticeable banding on his legs and tail. This pelt, though somewhat spiky, is still down-soft and plush, making him appear to be a kittypet to an outsider who has never taken a close look at him. Outside of the banding, his coloration is completely solid with no signs of fading or highlights. During the night, his fur seems to glow a ghostly silver and the banding becomes more prominent to the eyes. The fur on his long tail plumes outward into a full, luxurious mound of fur that is so heavy that he is unable to hold his tail erect for more than a few moments at a time.
His eyes are a bizzare combination of shades, teal with copper rings around his pupil and at the far visible edge of his eyes. They are warm and expressive, though he has a bit of a tendency to be appearing to stare because of the large size of his pupils. His eyes seem to glow, but not in the same sense as with many other cats, his glow with soft light that can make nearly any heart feel open. He rarely blinks and tends to use his eyes to express his emotions.
In terms of his build, he is a medium sized cat that is a bit more bulky that he appears. Rigorous playfighting with his brother throughout his kithood gave him some lean muscle, more concentrated in his haunches and hind legs that his shoulders. Based on this, some believed he could have been an excellent hunter if he had gone down that path. His body is long and lean, which lets him fit into tight spaces. PERSONALITY: Harepaw is a very unexpected personality for a future medicine cat, though perfectly normal for an apprentice. He is, although quiet, very inattentive to details that could possibly mean the difference between life and death, though he is expected to grow out of this phase of life very quickly due to training. He can be extremely sarcastic and let his temper show, especially with his brother, and his can make him seem as though he may have an aggressive streak. He does seem to have a very charming side, which will undoubtably cause him some challenged later in life.
Despite these degrading flaws, he is very compassionate toward a patient, which shows that he in fact dedicated to his work and duties. He prefers to be around the older apprentices and warriors rather than apprentices that are closer to his age, which proves that he is very mature despite how sarcastic he can be at times. Even though he has confidence in himself, he is afraid to speak his mind unless formally asked in front of the senior warriors, the deputy, and especially Scatterstar. It seems like the only authority figure he feels comfortable admitting his worries to is Flamespirit. HISTORY: A history that is as standard as can be set aside a couple details is that of Harepaw. He was born to a NorthClan mother and a NorthClan father with one brother named Blitzpaw. Out of the two brothers, Blitzpaw was the brawn, while Harepaw was the brains. His mother's milk ran dry before the two brothers would normally be introduced to meat, so the mother of their friend Rubykit nursed them for the rest of that time. Rubykit and Harekit grew close and it was evident that they would become mates one day.
Harepaw decided he wanted to train to be a medicine cat after he and Rubykit had gotten sick and Rubykit had died. The death of his friend was what drove him to want to learn to heal and cure illnesses like the one that had ended his crush and best friend's life, to save other cats the pain of losing a loved one. Despite some disappointment that they would not be training together, Blitzkit supported his brother's choice and promised that they would remain close. RELATIONSHIPS: Blitzpaw - Apprentice - NorthClan (will possibly be created later) OTHER: If you do not think that he is right for a medicine cat apprentice or another person asked about the position already, I am fine with making him a regular apprentice.
