DESCRIPTION:
A seal mink marble cat, exotic and descended from Bengal breed cats. His blood is almost pure and undiluted, though he has a slight amount of feral cat in him. His fur is cream colored, but swirling markings of deep brown and tan cover his entire body. They are marbled on the main parts of his body, but on his tail, face, and legs they are normal tabby stripes.
His entire underside and parts of his face are white. He has an arrow shaped tabby marking on his forehead. His nose is a dark shade of red-pink. His build is very exotic and lithe. His eyes are very bright blue and stand out with dark markings around them. He has a scar on the bridge of his narrow muzzle.
PERSONALITY:
Marquis is on the outside a very calm cat, but he is capable of things that are cruel and dangerous. He is willing to do anything to achieve his goals, whatever they may be. He thinks of himself over anyone else, and has little to no regard for the lives of others. He doesn't care what anyone else thinks of him, and he can commit murder with a poker face.
He is selfish and generally vicious and anti-social. He joined the Silence as a means to an end, and if he can gain control of the group he will steer them into chaos and marauder. He almost never develops emotions for anyone, but he's willing to mate just for the pleasure of it with no regards to gender. When he lets go of his calm side, a manic and insane side comes out and it is brutal.
HISTORY:
He was born from a purebred Bengal sire and a wily feral she-cat mother. They mated once, but never saw each other again. She ran off into the woods and left him behind, and he wouldn't follow her because he didn't want to leave his domesticated roots behind. Marquis was born near the edge of the mountains, close to NorthClan territory.
His mother raised him and his siblings there, until some of the Clan cats decided that they were too close and chased them away. They were driven further into the mountains, and Marquis resented the Clan cats because of their treatment. Their family roamed around in a nomadic fashion, going where there was prey.
During the winter months, when all of the kits were older, but prey was scarce, their mother turned on them with hunger. She killed two of his siblings, but he and his younger brother, Fabrice, managed to escape her claws. Marquis turned on his mother and killed her. She had already eaten parts of their siblings.
Marquis and Fabrice lived in the mountains on their own, and Marquis developed a strong bond with his brother. He felt like a protector and guardian, but there was a strange darkness growing inside of Marquis. He found ancient ruins with markings on them, and they glowed with power. One touch and he felt the power surging through him, but it drove him completely mad.
He killed his brother in cold blood due to his mania, but when he had a brief moment of clarity it dawned on him what he had done. He was heartbroken, but he buried his brother in the mountains to let his spirit rest with the ancients. His manic side returned soon after, though he can cover it up with a facade of calmness.
There have only been two cats whom Marquis has 'loved' in his lifetime. The first was a she-cat known as Bayheart, a warrior from one of the Clans. He hadn't expected to fall in love with a Clan cat, as he resented them so deeply. Still, he appreciated her, and they met in secret. He fathered a litter of kits with her, but later found out that she was killed in battle.
The second cat that Marquis has felt strongly for was Sweeney, a lone tom who lives in the mountains. Unfortunately, Sweeney did not return Marquis' affection. He has only interacted with Sweeney a few times, but stalks him and watches him from a distance. They sometimes hunt together, but only on very rare occasions, but Marquis does his best to get to know him.
All other cats mean nothing to Marquis, and they are tools to his selfish and sadistic ends. He joined The Silence with hopes to become their leader, for they are unorganized but all drawn by the powers of the mountains... the powers that he has experienced from Runestone.
