With his warriors, Eclipsesun and Crowbone behind him, Scatterstar made his way to Moonwatch Island. Through cold blue eyes he watched as he arrived. The full moon was high in the sky, in the horizon over the small island in the middle of the pond. He licked his muzzle, twitching his whiskers as he found a place for he and his warriors to sit. This would be his first gathering as the leader of NorthClan.
He turned to his warriors, and lowering his voice to a deep and harsh whisper he said to them, "Remember, you're not permitted to speak with any of the other warriors unless I tell you to. Even in that case, you will make sure that you don't let anything important slip. I trust that the both of you will know enough to keep your mouths shut." He stared at them with deadly seriousness, as the other cats from other Clans began to file in.

Ah, what a beautiful night. Zeph grinned as he upturned his face to the moon, its silver light casting a brightness over his pelt. It kinda made him look like an angry spirit, and he grinned at the thought of what jests he could play with this newly acquired fact. Camp life was quite dull for him.
The SouthClan leader's ears pricked at the sound of voices on the island. He turned to check if his two warriors were following. They were obedient and loyal to boot, and he was sure that they would make a good impression on the others. SouthClan was not weak under Zephyrstar. He would bring about a new era in his Clan's history.

Whitemoon followed his leader closely. It had been a while since there'd been a proper gathering, what with all the discord in the Clans. Now that many of the Clans had new leaders, there would be a lot for the leaders to talk about among themselves. Traditionally, the warriors would just sit silently unless there was some kind of dispute. Then it would be up to them to protect their leader.
He looked around silently, with his white and gray ticked fur glistening in the light of the moon. He stared with disdain at the warriors from other clans, with his dark blue eyes narrowed. He wanted nothing to do with any of them, and he made that clear.

x - - RIPPLESTAR
[/font] The moon poised high above the sable sky, moonlight filtering through the dense thickets. A lanky seal-pointed tom slipped through the undergrowth, beryl eyes reflecting through the thin slips of light available. In the distance he saw the sleepy island amidst the calming waters. Ripplestar slowly made his way to Moonwatch Island with his deputy, Tigerflight, and one of his most capable warriors, Crimsonstreak.
It was his first Gathering as a leader and the tom honestly felt a bit nervous but he didn't dare show it; no, he represented the name of EastClan and need to uphold the immovable strengths of his clan. He calmly padded onto the familiar land. The petite head tilted just over his shoulder, eying the two EastClan cats behind him.
"Remember that you two are honorable warriors and are representing the name of EastClan. I trust your judgment and have complete faith in you, so I don't expect any blunders tonight. You know what to do," he whispered quietly. Cobalt eyes flashed in urgency but he slipped a slight smile before turning back, watching the other leaders and clans in neutrality.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

~Scarletstar~
Through the thick brush that surrounded the edge of the clearing, Scarletstar emerged. She walked slowly and purposefully towards the other leaders gathering near the center of the island. Her cold eyes glistened in anticipation, though her body remained calm. Giving a slight flick of her tail for her two clanmates to follow her she moved into the center of the clearing.
Before she joined the three other clan leaders she turned back to her two clan members, Thrushwing and Ravenspirit. "You two are to not speak unless I give you permission." she warned, her voice hinted with menace. Giving them one last glance she glided over to the other leaders.

------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- The broad-shouldered tom nodded respectfully to his leader, Ripplestar. This was the new Eastclan leader's first time at a Gathering, and it was Tigerflight's too. His gaze flickered to the other cats, his pale green eyes looking them over. All of them were toms, and he recognized the familiar scent of the clans. Scatterstar, leader of Northclan, was sitting with two toms, one he recognized as Crimsonstreak, the other he hasn't seen before. Zephyrstar, leader of Southclan, was sitting with two cats, a tom the tabby recognized as Whitemoon, and another whom he didn't know. Tigerflight kept up to date on the latest gossip and news about the clans, although nobody really knew. That's how he knew who the leaders were, but Westclan's leader was still a mystery. Then, a new movement caught his eye. A particularly pretty she-cat glided over to the group, a cold aura spreading about the cats. Who is this? he thought, Is it Westclan's new leader?

Crowbone followed Scatterstar closely, his eyes bright and curious as he watched. He listened to what his leader had to say to him. He knew enough to keep his mouth shut, that much was clear to him. He could see the other cats of the Clans, and he was wary of them. Sometimes, with such little contact outside of battle between the Clans, they seemed so mysterious to him.
He made eye contact with Whitemoon from across the way. The cat was scrutinizing him through his deep blue eyes, and Crowbone could only hold his stare to make sure that this cat knew that if he was going to make trouble, Crowbone would be there to protect his leader to the end.

[bg=black][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true]RAVENSPIRIT: WESTCLAN MEDICINE CAT
Following along with the new leader of WestClan, Ravenspirit couldn't help but think about what the other Clans would think of them. Here they had accepted a rogue as the leader of their Clan. At the very least, SouthClan would have to sneer about it. They once had a rogue leader, who called himself Montana. A rebellion had risen up from the SouthClan cats, and they took down both Montana and his followers.
Her leader told her not to speak, and her ears flicked back. She didn't enjoy being told what to do by Scarletstar, at least not yet. She knew better than any old rogue of what to do at a Gathering. She let out a barely audible hiss to vent her frustration. She didn't know if it had been such a good idea to accept the she-cat as leader. Thrushwing wasn't proving to be much of a tolerable deputy, either, as she had predicted. |

Scatterstar was surprised to see that many of the Clans also had new leaders. He wouldn't be so alone in that regard after all. Now all that was left was to discuss important matters with them. He hoped that they knew enough about running their Clans already to participate in something like this. Lots of them were warriors who had probably been to plenty of gatherings, so they would have known how it works.
"Greetings, cats from other Clans," Scatterstar meowed, his voice low. He didn't find it pleasant to be among them. "What news do you have to share with the rest of us?"
He didn't want to take his turn first. NorthClan was doing well, with all their new additions of kits to the Clan, but he'd wait to hear about how good or bad the other Clans were doing before he said anything.

Eclipsesun knew better than to talk to any of the other cats. He didn't like being reminded of it, as though he were some apprentice who couldn't keep their mouth shut. He looked up at the glowing moon in the sky. All the stars were out, twinkling brightly. It seemed like a good night.
The air was still warm from the day's heat, but there was the slightest cool breeze that ruffled his fur. He sat down near his leader, watching with sharp eyes for any sign of trouble. He wondered if it had always been this way, with leaders requiring two speechless bodyguards to watch them in case of danger.

Crimsonstreak hunched down, praying to StarClan that none of the other Clans would start trouble. He looked over at the new leader of the Clan, Ripplestar. He couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness in his chest, for he missed Hollowstar deeply. He wondered what had happened to her. He hoped that maybe, just maybe, she was safe somewhere, but could not return to her Clan for some reason.
His blue eyes darted back and forth as he looked over the array of cats who had come to the Gathering. True enough, there were three from every Clan. He hadn't expected himself to be chosen as one of the cats to come and guard Ripplestar, but he was honored that he had been.
He listened to Scatterstar speak. There was a cat that he didn't trust at all. Scatterstar had been known to start battles, and cause trouble between the Clans, and all just for the fun of it. Crimsonstreak's ears flicked back. This would be the cat to watch for trouble... and maybe WestClan's new leader as well.

Zephyrstar turned to Scatterstar, offering him a grin. "Funny, you know. I was just going to ask the exact same question...Can you believe it?" he chuckled, his blue eyes on the other leader. Then, his light mood dropped as his voice became serious. "SouthClan's doing well. We recently had a cat become an apprentice. Robinpaw, but she's not here with us now."
Well, that was it. No need to share out other vital Clan information that others could utilize, albeit in bad ways. If he said he needed more land, they would know he was either gearing himself for war or was weak, and they would attack him right away. If he said that they need more prey, it basically went to the same thing as well. Zeph deigned this an appropriate time to allow the next leader to speak and shut his mouth.

~Scarletstar~ Bathed in the full moons light, Scarletstar's silvery eyes shined. She turned them slowly, scrutinizing each leader. The northclan leader, a tom, seemed to be commanding and strong. The southclan leader, also a tom, seemed laid back and quirky. The eastclan leader, a tom as well, seemed to be quiet, making his decisions carefully. Scarletstar narrowed her eyes, realizing she was the only she-cat. "If any of them take dare to take this as a sign of weakness they will pay." she thought, lashing her tail.
It was her turn to speak, and she chose her words carefully. "Westclan is doing well. Thrushwing has been made deputy. That is all." Scarlet didn't mention the unease of her clan at her become leader, or how their could be a possible mutiny. She must look strong in fron of the other leaders, or they wouldn't hesistate to attack westclan. Scarletstar narrowed her icy eyes, waiting for the next leader to speak. .

The NorthClan leader took the initiative after two had gone before him to step up and announce how his Clan was doing. He hoped to intimidate the other cats with how much his Clan was growing, and what power they would have in their eventual warriors. "NorthClan welcomes two litters of kits from our queens Silencefall and Sparkstorm," he meowed. "Some day soon we will have six new warriors in our midst."
The lack of a NorthClan deputy was something he did not want to mention. He had his eyes on a few of his warriors, but he hadn't picked one yet. He was wondering why Scarletstar's report on WestClan had been so short. She was probably playing the game of hide negative information, but that only relieved that she did have something to hide. He smirked.
